Trusted Services

The McCandle Project can't directly save you in your time of need, but our partners can. Whether your issue is financial, location based, or stigmatized, we know that their is a place for you to find the help you are looking for. We don't just want to share your story, we want it to have a positive sequel.

Additionally, not only can these places help you in your time of need, but they offer opportunities for self-involvement. The McCandle Project is the tip of a very large iceberg.

"We are dedicated to saving lives and to building stronger families and communities. Through education, research, advocacy, and a focus on young adults ages 14–25, Active Minds is opening up the conversation about mental health."

Do you want to get more involved with the fight against depression? Active Minds is a personal favorite of ours.

"NAMI provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives."

Like Active Minds, NAMI wants to educate the public. They also offer support groups, a helpline, and a variety of helpful outlets. NAMI is one of the largest mental health organizations in America.

"Project HEAL's goal is to change the system and, in the meantime, provide life-saving support to people with eating disorders when the system fails."

Project HEAL has their own text line specifically catered to those with eating disorders. Bad eating habits get overlooked too often in the mental health world. We felt it was important to emphasize it here.
